Kitty Carter

Kitty Carter – strong, passionate, persistent, committed, smart, loving, appreciative, and loyal. 

Kitty has served as the technical coach/advisor for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders organization and the CMT show Making the Team for the past 11 years. She also trains NFL, NBA, and college dance team hopefuls. 

Kitty grew up dancing in a dance studio atmosphere taking all disciplines. During her teen years, she spent every second available in NYC and LA taking classes. Kitty says, "Broadway was my jam for sure, and to this day I love song and dance!" She graduated SMU with a BFA and studied with the greats: Nakita Talin, Toni Beck, Bob Beard, David Kirby, Karen Kriete, and Betty Ferguson. She credits them with "Collectively turning me from 'princess' to 'python'...in a good way of course!"

She remains grateful for the valuable lessons learned during her time at SMU, and is now honored to teach at the acclaimed Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts (twelve years on faculty).

Kitty has been the owner/director of Kitty Carter's Dance Factory for the 37 years. There, she teaches weekly classes and trains four companies that perform in the Dallas Metroplex area and compete nationally. She is also a judge and master class teacher for several national dance conventions.

Kitty has been featured in Dance Teacher Magazine (2016), appeared in Dallas Morning News Arts & Leisure section in an article (Katy Perry's Dallas Choreographer by Alan Peppard), The Dallas Observer (Best Reality Star: Kitty Carter, September 2017 and Dallas' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2017).
