Teacher Bio

As a young choreographer, teacher, and dancer, Esosa Oviasu was largely self-taught in Popping and Breaking until he moved back to NYC to attend Columbia University. It was there that he began to train alongside instructors like Ephrat Asherie and Boogaloo Kin.

Esosa was first introduced to Commercial choreography through teachers such as Carlos Neto, Candace Brown, and Derek Mitchell. He has since steeped himself in Hip-Hop and House culture under legendary pioneers more

Class Descriptions

Street Styles

This class centers the concept of musicality and Esosa's own unique approach to the subject. Students of this class should come with a strong foundation of hip-hop movement, and a general familiarity with street styles such as House and Popping. This class is a welcoming space that does not expect flawless execution, but instead prizes avid exploration.
