This class aims to develop and strengthen ballet fundamentals. Barre exercises are short and focused on strength of placement, emphasizing further introduction and coordination of port de bras. Center exercises integrate phrasing and musicality within technical parameters. The class is nurturing, joyous, and safe, with attention given to positive thought and action. Principles of yoga and GYROTONIC® are introduced, encouraging a healthy understanding of alignment and initiation of movement from the center.
