Most recently AC choreographed Billy Porter’s video Children and collaborated with Mr. Porter on The Life for Encores at City Center. AC was nominated for the TONY for ‘Best Choreography’ for Broadway’s Hit musical Footlose. Off-Broadway, AC was nominated for the Joe A. Callaway Award for ‘Outstanding Choreography’ of Lucky Guy. He choreographed The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, Ghetto Superstar Created by BILLY PORTER and The Last Smoker in America at the Westside Theater. AC choreographed the musical Chess and his regional theater includes: Steven Sondheim’s revue Being Alive, Barrio Babies, The Yiddish Are Coming, The Plexiglass Slipper, The Little Mermaid and Big River at the Sacramento Music Circus. Ciulla co-created and choreographed Toni Braxton-Revealed for the Flamingo Las Vegas.
Other shows include Eden's Crush, C&C Music Factory, and Vaeda Black. He staged Signed, Sealed, Delivered starring Chaka Khan. AC directed and choreographed the hit Broadway musical revue Nights On Broadway II & III for Caesar’s in Atlantic City. Film work includes Gray Matters, Puppet, Love Is A Broadway Hit.
Ciulla won the 2003 EMMY Award for “Outstanding Choreography of a Television Special” for his work with Stars On Ice. AC appeared as a recurring guest choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance UA where he was named the king of contemporary dance! AC directed and choreographed the 1-800-OK-CABLE “Move To Triple Play” commercial and has choreographed countless spots for INTEL, Dr. PEPPER, AT&T, NY LOTTERY, Verizon DROID and E*TRADE. As a performer, AC made his Broadway debut in Starlight Express at age 19. He was an eight-time winner & semi-finalist on Star Search and toured as a featured soloist with WAVES. He toured the US with C&C MUSIC FACTORY, danced on the MTV Video Music Awards and had the honor of dancing alongside of Michael Jackson.
